The Dare2Share Method of Evangelism

About 2 years ago or longer, I went to Winter Jam (W.J.). At W.J., Dare2Share’s Founder, Greg Stier, presented the G.O.S.P.E.L acronym. God, Our, Sins, Paying, Everyone, Life. It was an interesting approach and a very memorable Gospel presentation. A lot of people turned to Christ that night because of his good LifeInSixWords presentation.

God: God is Holy. He is 100% holy. He has never sinned. God is also Love. John 3:16a states, “For God so loved world.” He loved you and He also loves me. He loved me so much. However, their is a problem which is bad news which is leads to O in the G.O.S.P.E.L.

Our: It is our fault that we are eternally separated from God. Do you know why we are separated from God? We are separated from God because All have sinned. Which is leads to S in the G.O.S.P.E.L.

Sin: We have all sinned. Romans 3:23 states, “For All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.” We have all missed the mark. You have and I have missed the mark. Sin is anything you think, say, or do that displeases God or makes God sad. It is like crossing the Grand Canyon. You might make it further than me, but we will always fall short of reaching the other side. The punishment of that sin is death, a forever spiritual death. Romans 6:23 states, “For the wages of Sin is Death.” Our punishment is eternal spiritual death. We cannot work our way out of this problem. However, there is a way out that is the GOOD NEWS!!!!.

Pay: God paid for our sins on the Cross. Romans 5:8 states, “But God demonstrated his own love towards us: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” What an amazing Headline! Jesus Christ saves sinners. God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins because he is perfect. He knew no sin. Jesus is the perfect sacrifice and the only one that can save us. Salvation does not include work. You cannot work for your salvation. Works are the outflow of your personal relationship with Christ. this is found in Ephesians 2:8-10.

Everyone: Everyone, who accepts this Truth, is called a child of God (John 1:12-13). You can accept it and I can accept it. It is a free gift that anyone can accept. The downpayment is the Holy Spirit. Once we accept(put 100% trust in this amazing truth), we will receive the Holy Spirit, who fills us up and indwells inside us. The Holy Spirit helps us know God and helps us confess our sins (1 John 1:9). Once we confess our sins, through the power of the Holy Spirit, God is able to cleanse from all unrighteousness. This is amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Life: The reward is the perfect eternal life with Christ. Romans 6:23 States, “For the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Christ Jesus our Lord.” What an amazing truth! Not only do we receive the Holy Spirit while we living on earth, but we can live in perfect harmony with God as we are progressively sanctified(the process by which we grow more and more in Christlikeness) in Christ Jesus. 

This, folks, is the GOSPEL presentation in a nutshell.
